The thing was I'd already done a negative review of a bottle of St Patrick's Best that I bought in a shop in County Down, with the caveat that the bottle was slightly out of date.

The beers were sent to me in response to that so that I could do a "more accurate" review, which I thought was nice of them. The new bottle of St Patrick's Best was fine if nothing special, but the two others were clearly defective and contrary to the description on the label.

I meant to email the brewery and tell them But I never got round to it. I should have, really, but didn't want to look as if I was after more free beer.

NickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-444372010882241548.post-61972990757924161542011-07-20T16:36:51.420+01:002011-07-20T16:36:51.420+01:00I decided to post about it as the beers were sent ...I decided to post about it as the beers were sent specifically for review. I decided not to post about it as I didn't feel comfortable reviewing a defective free beer.

NickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-444372010882241548.post-14624125419753360462011-07-18T10:34:02.869+01:002011-07-18T10:34:02.869+01:00Somewhere in England, I think.Somewhere in England, I think. The Beer Nuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14105708522526153528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-444372010882241548.post-18590794037658184652011-07-18T10:32:13.256+01:002011-07-18T10:32:13.256+01:00I'd seen hints towards it but no concrete info...I'd seen hints towards it but no concrete information. It sounds a lot like kit homebrewing, only on a much bigger scale. The Beer Nuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14105708522526153528noreply@blogger.com
